Over and irregular grazing and excess of livestock across the areas where we plan to launch the new habitat restoration program, disturbed much of natural habitats during the past years. Transmission of common diseases to wildlife and in particular prey species occures regulalry due to the presence of unvaccinated livestock in wildlife habitats.

Our selected site in northeastern Iran for the purpose of the current habitat restoration program, is very rich in fauna and flora. All cat species available in Iran, are recorded in this region and the area partially includes Kopet Dag mountains.
